In 2020, I ran a petition to show support for an upgrade to the intersection of Main, Hutton and Royal Streets. I had an amazing response with hundreds of local residents contacting me to support it.

The most commonly raised issues were safety, a right-hand turn arrow from
Royal Street on to Main Street, and improved pedestrian crossings.

With the community’s support, I was delighted to be able to secure funding for the City of Stirling to upgrade this intersection.

I am thrilled to see some great improvements included in the design, such as raising the intersection to slow traffic, pedestrian signals in all directions, and right-hand turn signals from Royal Street to Main Street.

This upgrade will build on our work to make Main Street a community hub.
