I am pleased to say that works are well underway to transform the drain along Honeymyrtle Turn and Veronica Parkway in Stirling.
The drain is set for a major transformation, which will improve the outlook for the community and ensure the drain will properly service its very large catchment area, which extends from Balga to City Beach.
The urban stream will include planting of local native trees and shrubs, as well as pollutant and sediment traps, which will filter out rubbish and improve water quality flowing into Roselea Lake and on to the Princeton Estate as well as provide a habitat for wildlife.
For more than ten years, I have been working to improve the lakes in Roselea and Princeton, first as a Councillor and since 2017 as your Local Member.
I look forward to seeing this project delivered for our community.
